Underdog Outreach Project
Founded in 2020, a 100% Volunteer based rescue advocating for the voiceless dogs in need. Our mission has been dedicated to caring for and promoting the rights of dogs through numerous initiatives. Our main goal is to educate and improve the treatment of dogs in Spartanburg County while helping prevent the overcrowding of shelters that leads to euthanasia.
OUR MISSION
Underdog Outreach Project is committed to reducing the dog overpopulation and dog homelessness in Spartanburg county, specifically Chesnee/Mayo/Fingerville areas. These are very rural areas and the county doesn’t have its own shelter program. Our goal is to keep animals out of shelters while improving the quality of life for pets and pet owners in need.
Our goal is to alleviate the burden of our overcrowded shelters and change the mindset of citizens in Spartanburg county and help change the future for animals in the community. Services will include free or low-cost spay/neuter for low-income pet owners through vouchers, intervention programs that keep animals in their homes, community outreach and youth programs that inspire compassion and accountability for animals from a young age.
